Democrat MP Andrew Hasa deposited the amendment exempting families in the village and city from paying fees that use wells to supply water.
In the agriculture ministry's bill, the price of water use from wells is not determined, leaving it in the government's will.
To prevent the government's arbitrariity, MP Andri Hasa proposes that exemption from tariffs for any family that through wells meets family water needs or uses wells for agricultural and livestock purposes.
The Ministry of Agriculture lacks the family records that use wells for these purposes, but according to INSTAT's data for those living in the village, there are about 300 thousand benefit families from the Democratic Party initiative, if it is to be accepted by the government.
MP Andrew Hasa also proposed that the government's 6-month campaign for informing citizens and completing the documentation should be expanded to two years to give wells users sufficient time for their registration.
