Vehbi Kathazit's research links Salih Kastrat's ransom killers with Ramush Haradinaj

Businessman Salih Kastrati could be alive today if he were to submit to the demands of the most powerful criminal groups in Pec. He survived the four assassinations. On the fifth had died, a few days after six men, linked to police and prime minister Ramush Haradinaj, had demanded half a million euros from Kastrati. Among these tribute bearers was Selman Gashi, then Haradinaj's bodyguard. The money was demanded in the name of Tahir Daci. Kastrati had refused to give this amount of money. A few days after the Pean gold businessman Salih Kastrati had refused to give 500 thousand euros to some people, a bomb had exploded in front of his home in Pec.

The renowned businessman Salih Dukat had suffered severe deadly injuries.

Kastrat was injured in front of his house on the “King Bardhil”, on March 15, 2012, after the court returned. That day he was sentenced to 800 euros in arms maintenance fine. He had shot into the air during an attack on him where he was wounded.

Kastrati had been living in a coma for just one month at the University Clinical Center. She died at 63.

At the time, Selman Gashi, a tax collector, worked as the bodyguard of Prime Minister Haradinaj. He's one of the convicts for the kidnapping of businessman Azem Morina.

Gashi, along with Rostem Idrizi, Mentor Sanaya, Alban Dizdarin, Zekko Krasniqi and Syla Krasniqi wanted this amount of money to finally close an open property dispute with Tahir Dacin.

The last attack in March 2012, he could not survive. Memli Pajazit of Gjakova was arrested as suspect of the attack.

Property Foundation Court spokeswoman Selvana Bukleta has told the story of investigations and the release of the suspect's charges. She has said that the former District Prosecutor in Pec had launched investigations against defendants Memli Pajaziti on March 21, 2012 for criminal work cause of general danger and ownership, control, possession or unauthorized use of the weapon.

Pajaziti was held in custody from March 20th 2012 to June 18, 2012, when it was replaced by the detention measure with the presentation at the police station until September 19th 2012.

The Kastrati family had an opener conflict with Tahir Daci and join Rama. According to the Kastrati family, these two people with false documents had blocked their property by refusing to allow the construction of a large shopping center.
