Madrid's concerns over the membership of Western Balkan countries in the European Union will soon be discussed at the Council of Europe.
Spain's statements, which strongly oppose any kind of Kosovo approach to Europe as an independent state, will be a topic of discussion in the Council of Europe, writes Vecernje Novosti, broadcast Periscopi.
This meeting will take place on February 23rd, a few days after the European Union's Enlargement Strategy has been published.
Serbian media write that no one yet knows what the Enlargement Document will contain, but according to them one thing is certain, that Serbia can join the EU, further away by 2025.
In this way, 2019 is cited as a key year for Serbia, as during 2018 it can be finally resolved.
Since Spain strongly opposes Kosovo membership, the move will be discussed in the EU's highest instance in order to decide how to move away. /Periscopi/
