The estimated 34 civilians, including 12 children and a woman, have been killed in eastern Ghutan, a rebel enclave in the outskirts of the capital city, Damascus, are said to be the group and monitoring activists.
Four others were killed in Idlib, which has been the target of chemical attacks, reports “Alzeera”, the Periscope broadcast.
The Syrian government backed by Russian air strikes has been in the area since mid-December last year, but both Idlib and Eastern Ghuta are under fire in the last four days after a Russian pilot crashed and was killed Saturday.
“People believe Russia is seeking revenge after a pilot has crashed and killed,” activist Hazem Shami told “Al Jazeera”.
In the ongoing bombings, at least 800 people have been injured. Many have serious injuries and cannot be treated here. ”
Residents and activists have described human damage and suffering on the ground.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a monitoring group in the United Kingdom on Tuesday, stressed that recent murders mark the largest “massacre in Syria” since the April chemical attack on Khan Sheikh in the province of Idlib, where more than 80 people were killed.
