Today, six years have passed since a snow avalanche claimed the lives of 10 people. Since then, residents say that the area has been evacuated.
Reka neighborhood residents in Dragas Restelica placed the key to their homes by abandoning them because they did not feel secure.
According to residents, living in this country is dangerous in the winter season.
The communa has placed these nets but is still not safe to live here. That's why this area has been emptied”, one resident told Klan Kosovo.
He claims that after the tragedy, he has had little interest in helping this area.
No one came to inform us. Nobody's here to make sure we're safe. There were some houses here. There were 7-8 but no one has helped us rebuild them”, he stressed.
The snowball at Dragas' Restelica was tragic for the Reka family, who lost all members except the daughter Amsera. That day she lost two parents and two-year-old brother until she was rescued by the Kosovo Security Forces.
According to residents, Amsera now lives in Italy with several of her relatives.
