Obelisk author Ismaili said that unlike other years that have been the most grim, this year the colors of gold and silver in this Obelisk are festive.
According to Ismaili number 1 has replaced the letter B to symbolize the 10th anniversary of Independence.
Contrary to the next few years that were a little bit darker and behind a slightly heavier message this year is the most impressive color is gold and silver, and instead of the letter B we've put a number 1 to symbolize the 10th anniversary and it's just not a more specific political order as other years, it's an order that symbolizes a decade of independence”, Ismaili said.

Muhamed Beqiri, a pensioner, has delivered a message to Kosovo's young people to respect the state flag, love it as the national flag, not to ignore and revile it.

I had given a message to young people to respect this flag that's not respected enough, ours is, our good is, and we have to do it the same as the national flag, so don't ignore it, don't insult it, don't rape”, Beqiri said.
Renowned journalist from the town of Kukes, Besim Ceng, who has come to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Independence, has said February 17th is marked as one of the most marked days of Albanians' lives in the collective view, not only in Albanian, but in all the Balkan spaces where there are Albanians.

February “17th is marked as one of the most marked days of the lives of Albanians in the collective view, not only in the territories we are in, but in all Balkan spaces where we are, February 17th fulfilled the second part of Albanians' independence”, said Ceng.
According to citizens, this day is a holiday that should be honoured and celebrated even more, not only in Kosovo, but in all countries where Albanians live.
