Hoxhaj for Der Standard: Strache statements misused for domestic politics from Serbia

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has said Austrian daily Der Standard is not contributing to reconciliation among people in the Balkans, normalising Kosovo-based reports. Serbia and not the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union.

When early in 2018, the region is moving at a new speed towards EU membership, and when reconciliation among peoples is the priority of the countries of the region as well as the European union, such a declaration does not contribute to reconciliation among peoples, normalisation of Kosovo-Serbia reports, and integration of states into the EU”, Hoxhaj has said of Der Standard.

Hoxhaj has said he regrets that an Austrian deputy Chancellor has been misused for his internal policy discusce in Serbia. He added that there has been a surprising statement “when it is known that Austria in the last 30 years has been the first door of Kosovo's support, even as the 90s issue and as citizenship”
