Hoti: Haradinaj government in pieces, country to prepare for elections

So states in an interview for KosovaPress, LDK parliamentary group chief Avdullah Hoti, under which this is a piece-in-heavy government, which has been formed allegedly for big decisions, which he cannot take.

The “was four months, five months that this Government was formed. None of these major decisions, not that have been approved, have been passed through the respective institutions, but are unlikely to pass through in the near future, due to the dilemmas existing within the coalition. That is, in fact, the main reason we have criticised this government since the beginning, because it has not been done on the basis of a platform of jobs that must be carried out during the government, but it has been done simply on the basis of a tight interest of parties in the coalition. A government that is torn up by small parties, which have no single orientation, which does not link anything in common, except the desire to be in power”, he said.

Hoti says they will not tolerate further procrastination issue, since there is no reason for the issue to be prolonged further.

This government, this person who's in charge of the government, brings the same deal to the country. This is unacceptable. We as LDK have a clear stance, we support this agreement, we think it had to be done two years ago and we'll support it whenever it comes to the assembly. There's no reason to prolongation further, it's bad that two cards are being played in the sense that other things and things are actually operating within the institutions before internationals. We will not tolerate it this way, the agreement must come to the Assembly, it must support and if it is not supported, it should be responsible for those people who are acting this way because they have come to power to reach new agreements supposedly with Montenegro, with their claims with different commissions that have formed them, since they have come to Government<18x1>, he said. .

Meanwhile, he calls Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's decision to raise wages scandalous, but says it is not his only scandalous decision, because the prime minister has made such decisions and on the case of pardoning debts to water producers, who must soon be handed over to the Constitutional Court, as it is out of the prime minister's reach.

Other decisions on the separation of resources from state reserves are also, according to him, in some cases contrary to the law, which is abuse of public money. Hoti says the prime minister would have to preserve the state budget and not abuse it, as he did by sharing it, according to narrow interests.

I think it was the most scandalous decision anyone could make, it's an open conflict of interest that the government itself raised wages. The prime minister sign a decision that directly raises his salary and senior government officials. We had worked hard in the preliminary government for preparing the law for wages, for all workers in the public sector, but failed to process the law further. The only way to fix salaries in the public sector is through law, not through the arbitrary decisions of government, which is actually conflict of interest... Whether there is a legal basis or not, there is no ethics, it is not ethical in such a situation that we find to double our salaries, only the political staff, within the Government and we have been able to do the same, but we haven't, we wanted these issues to be regulated by law”, he said.

Hoti has spoken and about the initiative to abolish the Special Court, which, according to him, has introduced Kosovo into a cycle of international isolation.

And this is also the hypocrisy we've seen on December 22nd and this way. In fact, it's not just the initiative that was seen on December 22nd, it was earlier, and in April 2017, it started as an idea to circulate, but when we were in Government, they saw it impossible to take such action. Now with the action taken, Kosovo has actually entered a cycle of international isolation that has never been like this. I hope that the life expectancy of this government will not be great and that we will return to the normal course of policy making in Kosovo and maintaining the international partnership. We need strategic partnerships with our international friends, whom they have violated, with these decisions of abolishing the law for specialised chambers”, he said.

While saying that within February, things will be defined and that this Government should go, as the country needs a pro-European Government, with creditable people with clean pasts, which can take on major developments and decisions.

I believe that within February, the issues will eventually be defined. With the review of the demarcation agreement, this issue becomes clear, if the same demarcation agreement is brought in for the vote, which has actually been brought the same as the negotiation, and that has been signed by the pre-government, of course it should be passed to the Assembly and we will support it, but this Government cannot go on because there is no logic. It has come to Government with the only cause this agreement is wrong and a new agreement with Montenegro will be reached and now agrees to proceed with the same agreement. If you don't pass, there's no reason to continue this ruling coalition. I also believe that the country must prepare quickly for new elections. It takes a whole new class, a new political class. A pro-European government, a government of creditable people with clean pasts that can take on developments, which should take place in this country, and major decisions that should happen to Kosovo, to prepare the country for European integration”, he said.

While not commenting on the dinner of institutional leaders, at the house of Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Bexhet Pacolli, saying it is their private issue, where they go to dinner and lunch, and that what he cares about is work within institutions and institutional decision making.
