Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says Europe is losing a lot of money because of Serbia and Kosovo, keeping those two states undefined. This, according to the head of the Kosovo executive, is harmful to every European nation because as he puts it, if they keep a region weak, they also keep themselves weak.
Haradinaj, in an interview for AlJazeera, stresses that Kosovo has lost two decades since the war.
“... and this is in Europe, all those investments, military, political, financial, all those commitments. It's very unreasonable to keep it still as an unfinished business”.
It also speaks of Serbian-Albanian relations. Says it's gone too far in the Serb-Albanian reconciliation.
“We have achieved far in our reconciliation, my deputy prime minister is Serb from southern Kosovo, two ministers are from northern Kosovo (dominated by Serbs). I'm working with every mayor... and I'm talking to all the deputies from the north”, he says.
The prime minister says youth unemployment in Kosovo is disturbing and that the new population is really prepared to face what the market economy can offer.
This concerns us, but it is also our potential: the new population has an entrepreneurial spirit and they are really prepared to face what the market economy can offer them. Our job is to offer an offer, a business offer for every citizen of our country, for every entrepreneur in our country, but also for foreign investors. This starts with rule of law and fighting corruption “, it is over.
