Ceku shows how military can be formed

Deputy Minister of the Kosovo Security Force Agim Ceku has declared on Tuesday that Kosovo will establish its army in co-ordination with international affairs and through constitutional changes.

On the Image show on Kosovo Radio Television, he said a more favourable climate should be created for the establishment of the Kosovo Army.

According to him, Kosovo de jure does not have the army, but, as he said, de fact exists Kosovo's army.

Z. Minister Ceku, said it is an unstoppable process, but according to him, there are some minor obstacles, and this is an injustice being done to the state of Kosovo.

Belgrade politics is opposing it, and this is part of their strategy, which does not support any element that is of Kosovo's citizenship. But that does not mean Kosovo Serbs do not support the founding of the Kosovo Army, because we have within the KSF members of the Serb community. Therefore, Serbian citizens love KSF, but Belgrade's policy instrumentalise Serbian citizens”, he said at RTK, adding that the Serbian List, which supposedly represents the interests of Serbs in the Kosovo Assembly freely, could be called the Belgrade list, which are instrumentalised by Serbia.

Ceku already stated that much has been done for the establishment of the Kosovo Army, and in this direction we expect the KSF to change the mission and be Kosovo's next army.

“We are on the verge of implementing this goal or vision for the creation of the Kosovo Army, and this is among the priorities of institutions. Therefore, we rightly expect such a development”, he said, adding that the main problem of not creating Kosovo's army is the very Serb deputies, but that we are not yet sure they will vote for the founding of the Armed Forces.
