ATK closes hundreds of fortune-game businesses, fines total millions of euros

Valentina Bytyqi, official for communication with the public in ATK, is the result of the start of implementation of the new strategy for monitoring lucky games.

“Only during 2017 The ATK has visited some 1540 businesses, which run the game of fate, have closed 214 locals and 179 of them's licenses have been canceled. The number of fines that are issued to these businesses. These businesses are bookies, casinos and similar businesses, and the value of fines we have issued for these businesses is 1.3m euros”, she said.

She said that even this year there will be no tolerance for those businesses that conduct illegal activities.

During January alone, Bytyqi has explained that 30 businesses fined 52 thousand euros have been closed, reports EO.

She also spoke of the list of debtors where this list will be published over the following months in order to encourage taxpayers to fulfill their obligations.
