The most frightening attack helicopters in the world are thought to be AH-64 Apache from the US and KA-52 Alligator of the Russian Army.
Appache flew for the first time in 1975 and has since received numerous updates. The latest variable is AH-64E.
Alligator has flown for the first time in 1997, and as an ancestor has KA-50 Black Sharp.
