Peja municipality Mayor Gazmend Mujajeri has been declared innocent in connection with the charge of failing to comply with the court's decision to return former Interior Auditor Hysni Selmanaj to the workplace.
Even though it was an initial review, the Court did not allow reading the indictment with the consent of Prime Minister Muhhazier, unusual practice in Kosovo's judicial system.
As in the case of Peja's first, the indictment was not allowed to be read either in the trial of the relatives “Proto”, despite the prosecutor's insistence that it be read.
The founding prosecutor in Pec, in May 2017, had filed an indictment against Peja's first, for the same had refused to apply the Supreme Decision of the Court of Appeals to bring former Internal Audition Director Hysni Selmanaj back to work.
Kalxon had reported when Hysni Selmanaj was suspended from work as Director of Internal Auditor by the Peja Community leaders with the reasoning for poor performance at work.
Selmanaj had then said that this was revenge because of the many abuses he had reported to his justice organs.
The refusal to bring former Interior Audition Director Hysni Selmanaj back to work has cost Peja's first one, Gazmend Muhharrier, on the act.
Since May 2017, when the indictment has been established, the Court has not yet been able to keep its initial examination due to the failure of the Muharjer to appear in court.
