Like all health conditions involving pain, head conditions are difficult to classify. A headache someone might call terrible, for someone else, can be easy.
Here are some of the warning signs of headaches that require medical attention:
Painful head pain that is caused all of a sudden, “as lightning”: If all of a sudden you start to feel a bit of a headache in your head, as if someone shot a hammer in your head, it's serious. It could be a stroke caused by aneurysm. It is a dangerous headache, so you should seek medical attention immediately.
The changing headache: Think of the pain as if it were a song. If you change just volume, it's not something to worry about. But if the music changes - the type of pain - is more intense and, unlike other times - in this case, you should seek medical attention.
Pain is in the back or around the eyes: If you feel pain in your eyes as well as headaches, especially if your vision is beginning to bother you, it is to be disturbed. The main concern here is acute glaucoma, or putting pressure on one eye that stops bleeding and can lead to blindness.
The pain has focused on the temple lobes: In many cases, positioning a headache is not an indication of anything to worry about, writes Noa, broadcasts the Kosovo Clan. But if you are over 50 years old and the headache is more focused on one or both of the temple lobes (the sides of your head between the forehead and the ear), it could be a sign of the temple artery (inflammation of the walls of arteries on this part of your head).
