Serbian Army Chief of Staff General Milan Mojsilovic praised that the situation in Kosovo following the formation of the Kosovo Army, but has declared that the Serbian Army is ready to respond to all challenges and threats and that citizens should not be disturbed.
“We will monitor the overall situation in Kosovo”, Mojsilovic told Serbia's Radio Television.
He estimated that the situation in Kosovo is unpredictable in many areas, stressing that citizens should not worry whether the Serbian Army, in its own way, can respond to all dangers, challenges and threats, Telegrafi submits.
Serbia's “Army is ready to respond to all challenges and risks, but I hope that KFOR within its mandate and capacity will ensure the protection of all citizens in Kosovo, with particular emphasis on the Serb community,”.
He said from the commander NATO in Europe, General Curtis Scaparotti, has received assurance that security and stability will be a priority NATO in Kosovo, with full implementation of KFOR's mandate and mission on the ground.
He added that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited Serbian soldiers in the Land Security Zone, where he saw the state of operational skills and combat readiness of the entities.
