The census was made at Serbia's request, and this is U's official site announcement. NESTO and the news has been conveyed with concern in Albania. Gusle, is the appointment in Slavic languages of the musical instrument known in Albania as laha.
A few years ago there was an effort between Albania and Kosovo to record this musical instrument in U NESTO is a cultural heritage asset. But demand did not appear because Kosovo was prevented from becoming a member of U. NESTOS.
Serbs in this direction were faster, reports the TCH.
This very old musical instrument is popular throughout the den of dinarical alpes, from Slovenia to Albania, and further from Romania, Bulgaria, but also in Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro. This is Albanian laha.
Similar songs, however, are also sung by Slavs with their own tool called Gusle.
In Serbia and Montenegro, the rhapsods are called Guslars, while in Croatia, where the lute is sung to heroes, the instrument was used by the thieves.
Montenegrins also have parts of folk tradition. But musical instruments of the same name are also used in Russia and Czechia and also by Arabs. While Romanians have a nickname similar to Albanian, they call it Lauta.
But whose instrument is this that resembles the Byzantine or Arabic Free? Albania's Culture Ministry says it is in contact with the ministry of Montenegro, to expand participation in this census of both Albania and other Southeast European countries. A joint request of Albania, Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia ambassadors has been made for this reason in U NESTO.
Albanian musiclogists, meanwhile, are preparing the file to register “epos of the Crescians”. Statement on behalf of all countries submitted by Albania's ambassador to U NESTO, Ferit Hoxha.
