The Russian Foreign Ministry has been informed about the possibility of forming the Kosovo Army and considers this to be a violation of Resolution 1244, as well as could lead to the process of auto-debilisation for the region”. So writes the Tass news agency, translates Periscope.
“Pristina has warned about plans to return its Security Force to the armed Army on December 14th”, said the foreign affairs ministry's response, according to this medium, moving away that “such steps are violations of Resolution 1244 and could destabilise the region”.
The Kosovo authorities' action to form their army can have serious consequences not only for Serb-populated countries in Kosovo, but also for the entire Balkans”, the ministry's statement says.
We expect Kosovo forces to remain in their defined mandate and to neutralise such an action, as well as to have disarmament in case this army is created”, the Russian MJA statement said.
“Pristina, the European Union and the United States should not allow Albanians in Kosovo to take such steps that could lead to tensioning the” situation, the statement said further.
