Growth in a less prosperous family can have a negative impact on the brain, shows a study on the impact of socioeconomic status on the person's development.
American scientists have found that brain parts are responsible for learning, developing speech, and emotional development as the most complex rule for people whose parents have higher education or who have worked intellectually, not manual work, writes Independent.
Data from the brain scan of hundreds of young people shows that such effects are stable during childhood and adolescence, the National Institute of Mental Health reported.
The early development of the brain is influenced by the child's experiences and the environment in which he lives, and both factors vary greatly depending on their socio-economic status”, said researcher Cassidy McDermott.
“The socioeconomic state can affect the learning process, changing structural development of the brain, especially in parts related to speech and teaching”, he adds.
For study purposes, published in Neuroscience magazine, researchers conduct 1,244 brain scans for more than 620 people between the ages of five and 25.
