Posting a photo of a newborn on social networks is not safe, yet parents continue to do so. Perhaps “without the will of” of children, family members tend to post everything about little children on Facebook, but this should stop. In France this will already be regulated by law, and if the latter is violated, the person who has charged the child's photo in virtual space will be fined 35 thousand paud or one year in prison. This is not over because children at a certain age can also sue their parents for violating their privacy.
This topic has also been discussed in Italy's annual parliament, as a court has banned the publication of videos and photos of children on social networks. This is true when one parent accepts the publication of pictures of children and the other parent opposes them. Not only is the publication prohibited, but early photos will be removed.
The very policy of social networks like that of the Instagram automatically erases pictures of children that conflict with the rules of this platform. Although different people may have different concepts about what to share with others and what not, any photo that can be misused poses a danger, so photos that are described as nudo or inappropriate are hidden.
This has all increased, since the last decade, the number of web searches related to pedopornography has increased. Although the parent distributes these pictures without any thought of danger, he cannot be irresponsible when it comes to the safety of a minor child. Whether they are parents or not, all should be careful when posting a picture in vital spaces and not ignore the dangers that this may bring.
This becomes even more disturbing when the photos are visible to all - not just to the friends of parents who published them.
