The Association of Patients Rights in Kosovo (PRAK) has expressed concern for the patient's situation following the entry of health staff on strike.
The PRAK points out that it is unacceptable that medical staff use patients like “for top” to “War” they're dealing with Government to raise their salaries.
<x) Protest”, reported in the Prak response.
According to the PRAK, health staff must have salaries in line with their duties, responsibilities and work.
“This can only be achieved through changing payment mode, separating the buyer from the health service provider and applying the payment for performance respectively. Other forms that have been applied so far, but even rising medical staff salaries in the past have not improved the quality of services, it has remained the same 20 years after the war. Therefore, the only solution is to separate the buyer from the health services provider, the implementation of the health insurance scheme”, respectively, is said to be in response.
The patient's rights association highlights even more disturbing the fact that part of the medical staff outside union organization has gone on strike.
For this we invite justice bodies to initiate judicial procedures, as such a strike is illegal and creates anarchy. Through this communiqué, we call on union representatives to stop the strike and the Government of Kosovo from reflecting on the demands of strikers”, said in response.
