Montenegro plans to expel more than 30 Serbian Orthodox monks and priests.
With members of their families, there are about 50 citizens working in this country.
As Novosti writes, under ban from regulations regulating the settlement census, official Podgorica shuts down the door for Serbian citizens who, under domestic laws, fail to meet the conditions for living and performing religious services in this country.
At Montenegrin-Litorial Metropolitan, they say all legal means have not been exhausted and that the fight for status is still ongoing.
Velibor Joqim told Novosti that 30 monks, priests and members of their families, who until this year had a regular stay in Montenegro, were not granted status by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“They are forced to leave Montenegro by the end of the procedure. The Anques were brought before the Administrative Court. In some cases, they have been rejected, and part of the proceedings are still under way, “explains Jofriend.
