Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said the situation in Kosovo is very complex and that Serbia will not allow anyone to distance Serbs from Kosovo.
He has indicated that Serbia will stay together with northern Kosovo Serbs, and that Serbia will not give up that part, the Srna news agency reports.
Among other things, Stefanovic has also complained about the formation of the Kosovo Army, saying it could have major consequences.
He said the danger could be due to commitment, as he says, paramilitary formations in northern Kosovo, which according to him is absolutely unauthorised.
According to him, the formation of the Kosovo Army should have the consent of Serbs, and there is certainly no consensus of Serbs for that.
This announcement worries citizens and makes the situation tense and that current instability grows not only on Kosovo territory, but throughout the region”, Stefanovic has said.
He has again called on the EU and European countries that have influence in Pristina to prevent the formation of the Kosovo Army.
Stefanovic made these statements after the “handover of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq to US support for the formation of the Kosovo Army.
