The Parliamentary Group of the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) have spoken about the situation in the health sector, with particular emphasis on the strike of health workers.
Vetevendosje MP Fatmire Mulhrama-Kollcak said the strike of health workers is a concern for all.
When white robes are on strike, it's a concern for society because they suffer patients. The wage bill has been prosecuted in the budget-free Assembly, and budget-projection does not appear, does not include wages, is government fraud. We invite the government to stand before the citizens to ensure that I get the means for law enforcement. We will work on this bill adopting”, she said.
LDK MP Naser Rugova said health workers will not stop by strike without their demands for salary growth being met. He said this determination has been seen on the visit to health workers.
Let me inform you and the public opinion on the commitments we've had today as a commission on the general strike organised by the Union Health Federation at all health levels. During our visit there has been an explosive request that we MPs have made that it is possible to vote on the wage law and that this procedure be carried out and that the strike will be stopped”, Rugova said.
“We have to meet the Grevist Council supporting 9 surgical clinics and institutions that are on strike, given the sensitive situation that health workers do not provide the necessary health services are also at risk of the patient's life”, he said.
He said that in co-operation with the VV they have decided to call extraordinary sessions.
“We appeal that the ruling coalition and the Ministry of Finance and Health that strike on August were promising that if their salaries did not rise by July 1st, we too will go on strike, recognizing the seriousness of the issue and the gravity of the serious problem for society and making optimial solutions together with VV colleagues, we have taken the first steps to call an extraordinary session for the health workers' demands to meet and strikes to be put off”, Rugova has said.
He indicated that they began with the collection of signatures for extraordinary sessions.
“We have started signing signatures and after talks like the commission we saw the alarming situation, if I were the prime minister and minister of health I wouldn't stop until I found a solution”, he said.
Rugova said the asphalt government should stop and become citizens.
“We as the opposition party are appealing to the government to take emergency steps to disrupt the strike as it has not been late because it is losing a patient's life for failing to service doctors there is no worse”, Rugova said.
