KEDS: No reductions

KEDS informs the opinion that reductions in no part of Kosovo are being applied. According to the KED, some media continue to misinterpret the opinion that there are reductions. That is not true, said a media report submitted by KEDS.

According to them, occasional power bans are due to the necessary online interventions to sabotage technical problems. These technical problems occur even in more developed countries, and more so on us where the network is too old.

We repeat once again the occasional stoppages only occur when there is decay, or in cases where it has to be exiled to ensure the management of the network. These cases are monitored by Z RRE, which has its own field teams and can be verified.
KEDS has committed additional teams to ensure that these necessary interventions are conducted in the short term and that consumers are affected as little as”, the report says.

KEDS will regularly report these cases of necessary interventions and their duration through social media. In this case KED is very grateful for the work of their colleagues who are doing the impossible and working under very difficult atmospheric conditions.

Kosovo has marked the record of electricity consumption these days. Since local production cannot cover all the consumption we have bought energy from import to ensure there is no reduction. During December alone we have imported about 90,000 MW, says the announcement.
