Victims of domestic violence are not only women whose numbers are constantly growing, and violence against them has often turned into tragedy. Even Kosovo men are not being easily rescued from this phenomenon.
Increasing cases of domestic violence are greatly appreciated by connoisseurs and sociologists, who also mention factors that are contributing to family destruction
Media officials in the Kosovo Police indicate that only from January to September of this year, 225 males have been victims of domestic violence.
Kosovo Police spokesman Bajram Krasniqi has indicated that in just nine months of this year, more than 1100 cases of domestic violence have been recorded, while over 1,200 such cases have been recorded throughout last year, Zeri writes.
There are 1129 cases in the family. In these cases, 901 victims were women and 225 men, and last year there were 1271 cases, where 958 victims were female and 261 were men”, Krasniqi suggested.
