A lipom is nothing more than fat cells collected in the form of a capsule. Lipomas are usually found under the skin, most frequently on the head, neck, arms, and under the armpits, but they can appear almost anywhere in the body. These cells are not cancerous, yet the idea of having something foreign “ ” in the body is frightening.
The size of the lipoma is usually between one and threecm and is visible in the skin. They are soft, they can remain in size, or they can grow slowly over the years. They don't usually cause pain, but the location and obviousness can be a problem for many.
Since they usually do not cause pain, the lipomas are not usually treated. If a lymphoma becomes painful, it is infected, or it grows in size, it can be eliminated through simple intervention. The cause of lipomas is not fully understood, but is believed to have inherited the tendency to develop them.
A lipome's fatty index may be the body's way of eliminating unwanted material such as toxins or waste, when the latter have not been processed by liver or kidneys.
The skin is the body's largest organ, so the body can try to remove waste through the skin, causing a visible fatty mass under the skin.
