Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj is staying in Tirana, where he is taking part in the conference of the Albanian Institute for International Studies and Hanns Seidel Foundation “Albania's foreign policy resumption and region”.
Hoxhaj has said that historical challenges in the Balkans have not yet ended, and responsible commitment of all in the region is needed to make this possible.
According to him, Kosovo has a will to wrap up dialogue with Serbia next year, but also the role of neighbouring countries, separately Albania, is important.
“We have a vague situation with Serbia. Two decades later, we have no war, but we have no peace, even though Kosovo has a clear way ahead of us to close the construction. We are not for status quo, but not at all costs to reach a bad agreement or an agreement that cannot be implemented. I don't think Albania should be without a role, as well as we have invited all friendly states to support the conclusion of the dialogue so that our states can move forward on the path of European integration” Hoxhaj has said.
Kosovo's deputy prime minister has also spoken of the recent reactions of Serbian officials regarding the transformation of KSF into the Armed Forces this Friday.
He has responded by saying that it is the right of a state to have protective forces, although Kosovo is headed west to establish a multiethnic body and that the mission has instability.
There is no KSF. Fear should be there for Serbia and its army because of the recent past. We after Friday, aim to unite NATO and the world's armies to support society in need” has said Hoxhaj.
