So said American congregator Emmanuel Cleaver today, who added that a peace deal would be very important for the Euro-Atlantic perspective of both countries.
“Efforts for peace are necessary for both countries. The two states should do more for the Euro-Atlantic perspective”, he said.
According to him, he believes Kosovo and Serbia can live in lasting peace.
The American congresswoman also said that in addition to Kosovo, the United States is interested in maintaining good reports with the Serbian state, and that these relations should intensify in economic co-operation.
The US congressional statements come at a time when the United States has been openly supporting the formation of the Kosovo Army.
