America has apparently imposed a condition on Serbia if it wants to remove taxes from Kosovo.
The condition for this has been attributed to Serbia by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer, during a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
According to Serbian media, Palmer has said that if Serbia wants Kosovo to remove the tax, then it should stop the vicious campaign to withdraw Kosovo's recognitions from the countries that have recognised it.
However, official Belgrade has rejected the US offer.
Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic has said that the US hopes in vain because the process of non-recognition is unstoppable.
“We can force Albanians to act civilized and immediately neutralise this problem. However, you also need to do something. You should immediately ask the countries with which you are in contact to stop dating. At the same time, you have to say that friendly countries that none of them will change their minds about Kosovo's independence, and no other country dares attract recognition of Kosovo independence”, Matthew's bid said.
