This December 4th marks the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Albanian Army, officially known as the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania. This December 4th marks the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Albanian Army, officially known as the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.
Under this anniversary, Republika President Ilir Meta has conveyed through social networks the highest considerations and warmest wishes for men and women under uniform, who have contributed and continue to serve with exemplary devotion and sacrifice for the country's defence and national security.
Maximum assessment of contributions highlighted during humanitarian operations, but also peacekeeping! Special and heartfelt congratulations are conveyed to the 210 military who, currently under the NATO flag, contribute to freedom, peace, security and stability in Afghanistan, the Aegean Sea, Latvia, Mali, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. God bless the Albanian military! Eternal glory to the martyrs, who gave their lives to the Fatherland!”, writes President Meta next.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Olita Xaka has published an exclusive photo of four Albanian soldiers in the first days of the establishment of the national Army, on December 4th of 1912, just days after the country's independence was declared.
