Great Snow in Korca and Elbasan

There, trucks and cars are banned from Sunday evening from the Greek side, while small vehicles are allowed to pass but using chains.
The area of Korca and Elbasan are more affected, where in some specific areas snow thickness has reached over 40 inches [40 cm].
The Albanian Rrugor Authority and police have asked the drivers of the means to take care during the trip to the Korc-Voskopi, Korca-Ditch and Korc-Curtice excises.
There have also been weekend problems in the district of Elbasan, where its thickness has reached up to 20 inches [30 cm].
The maintenance companies are working on salting and keeping roads open and currently there are no axis blocked, but circulation must be made in chains.
Snowfalls have also caused problems in remote areas of Gramshi. In some areas there have been problems with electricity.
