Serbian product with Metohija Kosovo imported by Kosovo company

On the local market you can find products in the declaration of which writes “Kosovo of Metohija”.

The product in question is a wardrobe detector, and some species come out of the market.

The degenerator production company is from the state of Serbia, while the import company is Kosovar.

Some of the consumers show that during the purchase of products they take care of the country of origin, while others only care for the expiration date.

At the Ministry of Commerce, spokesman Elhami Ismajli has indicated that, following the announcement by KTV, the import company and businesses were sent to inspectors.

But, Ismajli has not indicated whether market inspectors have earlier encountered products in the market in whose declaration producers address Kosovo as part of Metohija.

The same form of dedication is not written in documents presented in Kosovo Customs.

Customs Director Bahri Berisha has indicated that there are cases when, during the import process, the product documents are written “Kosovo and Metohi”, or Resolution 1244, but are rare.

Companies that have used these terms in documents are of origin from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece.

Berisha shows that it is not the responsibility of customs control of declarations, if products are closed during the package.

This form of declaration conflicts directly with the country's constitution.
