Serbia and its officials have undertaken an open political and diplomatic campaign to prevent Kosovo's membership in Interpol. There is no appearance of them on any level or place that does not matter.
Today, Serbian Interpol chief Milan Dimitrijevic, during a public television presentation, stated that the new effort at the Interpol Assembly on November 20th would be precedent and law violence, Koha.net broadcast.
Dimitrijevic told RTS that the consequences from Kosovo's membership would be numerous and unpredictable not only for Serbia, but also for other countries.
As he put it, the consequence would be the violation of Resolution 1244, it would be violation of Interpol's rules and opening the area of judicial uncertainty.
“Absolutely, there is evidence that some Serbs would be in the warrants, then there is the possibility of misusing the database”, Dimitrijevic said, in the spirit of Serbian policy efforts to demonise everything is Albanian just as in the past.
