Real's present - day opponent is guided by women

Eibari is now known for a long time as the smallest club in La League, coming from a small town of less than 30,000 people and without a training field. But now Eibari is leading the gender equality campaign in Spanish football.

As women hold low positions in Real Madrid's offices, Real Sociedad of the Legans, Eibari is the only club in Spain, where more than half of the leading positions are covered by women, writes Koha Ditore today.

“Eibari is a city where women have always played important roles in every aspect of society, and the club is doing nothing more”, says Eibari President Amia Gorostisa. We don't have any particular policy on this, but everything happened naturally. We even hire someone, all we're looking for is to be a worthy candidate for the job, no matter what gender,”.

Eibar's team has been completely unknown outside Bask territory until four years ago when it was promoted in La League and sought help to increase the capital of the 1.7m-euro club in order to meet the rule of Spain elite league.
