Telecommunications operators in Albania and Kosovo do not resist EU pressure for failing to sign the landing agreement, until the full removal of roting tariffs in Western Balkan countries.
At the EU initiative, this resistance appears to have been broken and, soon, citizens of the Western Balkans will be able to communicate within all this space without paying additional roting fees, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
Next month, the landing agreement is expected to be finalised, by the complete removal of roting tariffs in Western Balkan countries. The agreement will be presented at the Plenar Session of the European Regulatory Authorities Group (BEREC), which will take place in December.
The chairman of the Board of Electronic and Postal Communications Authority(AKEP) in Albania, Ilir Zela, held a meeting this week with European Union Commissioner for Economy and Digital Society Mariya Gabriel, who has officially visited Albania.
