Over the course of two weeks, in the Pristina municipality, where the construction sector is most concentrated, during the inspection of around 160 workplaces has been imposed 14 fines (those subjects that have not implemented inspectors' decisions by more permanent inspections), and have stopped working on the extent of the provisional suspension to 11 subjects.
After visits and analysis of the operational plan conducted over the past two weeks, MPMS and IP have found that these measures have not resulted in the establishment of security measures, always in the function of implementing legislation in force.
In view of cases of accidents, injuries and fatalities, at the request of MPMS Minister Skender Recica for implementation of insufficient legislation in effect, the Labour Inspectorate from yesterday has continued the reviews in this sector, requiring the subject to full implementation of security measures (sects) and personal safety equipment, since the case has been temporarily suspended in 30 working places.
The sole purpose of activity focused on the construction sector is to increase security measures, with the aim of protecting health and workers' lives.
To inform citizens and subjects who for the event have the construction sector, we announce that temporary suspensions of the job in the country are not associated with fines. Subjections have been given the decision to suspend jobs until the completion of security measures, fines follow in cases when this decision is violated by subjects.
MPMS and IP call on all employers to respect specific measures with legislation about the safety and health of workers at the workplace and once all workers to report cases when their rights are not respected and sent to employers. MPMS will be uncompromising in implementing legislation in force.
