It doesn't end with so much classified information coming out of the football world. This time included in recent public reports are the names of current FIFA President Gianni Infantino, former president of U n EFA Michel Platini, even former president of France, Nicolas Sarcozy.
All mentioned by Mediapart, specifically by sports journalist Jonathan Johnson and other media, “Get French Football News”.
German media “Der Spiegel” expanded the reports, publishing a research article on Infantino. The 48-year-old was appointed FIFA president in 2016, with the main task of clearing the organisation, but referring to many domestic documents, he has done exactly the opposite.
The report follows, detailing the claim of secret agreements made between Infantino and two Manchester City and PSG clubs since 2014, when he was still secretary-general UEFA. Agreements allowing clubs to avoid sanctions for violating “Fair Play<x1 financial> and to continue to be active in European, unpunished races.
Other details on those agreements were discovered by a separate “Der Spiegel” report. Infantino reportedly went beyond his competencies, ensuring that PCG and Manchester City would avoid punishments by proposing compromises, even making confidential material available to them. The report follows, finding out how Infantino tried to go against the Club Financial Control Corps, eventually with success in his attempt, thanks to help from Platini.
Many of the tactics reportedly included considerable sponsorship. On the other hand, “Get French Football News” reports that even the former president of France, Sarcozy, played his role in buying the SPG, after allegedly telling Platini to grant in favor of Qatar, the 2022 World Cup. /Periscopi/
