He stressed that the priority has the achievement of a common solution so that there are no different area times in Europe.
Austria is the only one so far in favour of holding summer hours, since the European Commission announced the removal of the clock change, while other countries did not declare their proposal.
The Austrian minister stressed that an agreement will be reached at the Graz meeting, but adds that interests are contradictory.
“Only one example. If we hold summer time, the sun will be in Vienna at 8:42, Madrid at 9:34 and Stockholm at 9:4318x1>, he explained.
Hoffer believes that removing the transition from the summer-day count could follow in the spring of 2020 or even in 2021.
It's important to remove, because that doesn't bring us anything,” he said.
Otherwise, in Austria up to 77% of citizens have expressed themselves against the change of the clock.
