BB publishes quality report in education, disappointing for Kosovo children

The World Bank has published a report in which children in Kosovo are reportedly expected to attend 12.8 years of primary, primary and middle schooling, but when their education years are rated for the quality of education, then their schooling is equal only 7.7 years, [...]
According to the new World Bank Comparative Report, the Human Capital Index (HCI), a child born today in Kosovo will be only 56 percent productive when he grows up compared to the child who will have complete education and full health.
In general, Kosovo's Human Capital Index is below the average of the region, but above the average of its income group. The HCI index consists of five indicators: survival risk until 5 years of age, expected years of child schooling, harmonised test results measuring the quality of learning, adult survival rate, and proportion of children with no developmental restrictions”, the report says.
