Opposition Reactivated for Resolution Against Thaci

This reactivation of the opposition for the resolution against Thaci takes place after he received an invitation from France's president to participate in Paris in the manifestation of the 100th anniversary of the ceasefire, signed between Allied Forces and Germany for the end of World War I.

President Thaci continues to insist on reforming the border between Kosovo and Serbia.

“We are concerned with the continued insistence of President Thaci that constitutionally, despite there is no single Kosovo MP supporting his idea, he still continues with that stance. Now a peace conference in Paris has been warned, we cannot allow a single person to take over the fates of Kosovo and decide as it does to him”, Avdullah Hoti said.

“From 120 Parliament deputies, no one finds it willing to support his idea. To bring this forward, we must gather and tell this man stop through a simple resolution, with a point saying that the border issue is not a matter of dialogue with Serbia”, the head of the LDK parliamentary group points out.

Against the president's idea is the Vetevendosje movement, which a month ago also organised protests against the idea of correction, or the difference between Kosovo and Serbia. Also against the president's idea that Presevo Valley should join Kosovo with a Kosovo- Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has also indicated. German MP Peter Beyer, who stayed two days ago for a visit to Kosovo, also conveyed to President Thaci Germany's stance against the correction of Kosovo-Serbia borders, “an idea that carries a big risk with him”.

MPs are the ones who represent the will of citizens”, German MP Peter Beyer said in a statement before journalists, making Germany's stance clear, “against the exchange of territories or correction of borders” and that, according to him, “the normalisation of relations requires sustainable resolution”.
