Over 63m euros cost Kosovo's budget veterans' pensions for ten months in 2018, the news reported.net.
This has been made known in an answer to news.net from the Ministry of Labour and Social Management.
36 thousand and 794 veterans received pensions in the month of January this year. And the same period former KLA fighters cost the state budget about 6m and 297 thousand euros.
However, month-on-month, the number of those who benefited pensions on behalf of veteran status increased.
In September, 38 thousand, 184 persons received pensions. The money spent was 6m and 439 thousand euros.
In total for ten months, veterans cost the state of Kosovo exactly 63m and 533m and 312 euros.
And for the year 2018, the amount for this category has been seen growing.
From MPMS on news.net has become known that in 2019, the budget required for veterans is 80.3m euros.
While saying there is still no official confirmation of what the exact amount will be finally divided.
We stress that in connection with the case “Venterians”, Kosovo Special Prosecutor has filed charges against 12 members of the Government Commission for Verification of the Status of War Veterans.
