Believers at a mosque in Turkey have prayed on the wrong side for more than four decades, Turkish media reported.
The mosque in Sugoren, in the western province of Yalova, has a mistake. It is built 33 degrees away from where believers should head to the so-called khibla.
This problem has been acknowledged by the mosque's imam, Isa Kaya, who noted this last year and later said that they should consult local muftis to advise how the issue might be resolved, writes Independent.
Officials have confirmed that the section showing the ikeh (mifrab) was built in the wrong place at the time the entire mosque was built in 1981.
