The European Parliament approved the report for the 5 Western Balkan countries Tuesday, including Albania.
By 44 votes, 5 against and 5 abstention , The EP has welcomed Albania's progress, but Eurodeputs have raised corruption levels and inefficiency in justice as a concern.
Several hot issues, such as negotiations with Greece, have been cited in the discussions, especially respecting minority rights in the country, but also the construction of Hydrocentrics in several rivers in our country.
The European Parliament has expressed itself firmly in its stance that negotiations for membership will be opened when Albania meets the necessary conditions, not on any specific date.
The EP report confirms the statement of the few days earlier by Germany's Foreign Minister, who said there is no precise date for opening Albania's negotiations with the EU.
