New EU regulations could prevent the United Kingdom from changing hours in autumn and spring, a new report warns.
Brussels is planning to end the return practice or delay of the hour throughout the EU, as it claims it is distasteful.
However, it still has not decided on such a thing, as EU countries must choose and approve the permanent summer or winter time.
The current rules imply that each state must pass in summer time on the last Sunday of March and winter time on the last Sunday of October.
This action would eventually be “each member state's decision on whether to go for permanent summer or winter”, proposals predict.
According to the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker has said that millions of people believe that summertime should be in the future throughout the year, and that's what will happen.
