Former Ambassador of O The SEU in Kosovo in wartime, William Walker, has said that each anniversary goes to Recak to honour the victims of the 1999 massacre.
But here he has voiced criticism of Kosovo's state leader, who has said he has only been going there for the last three years to honour the 45 fallen martyrs, Kosovo reports.
Every time I'm here, there's a special welcome for me, every anniversary”.
I've only noticed three years ago that power has honoured Recak, coming here on behalf of the entire Kosovo”, he said.
Walker further said he'd do anything to come to every anniversary as long as he lived.
I spent my life traveling the whole world. I want to be with the Albanians as much as I can possibly have”.
“I have to tell you that from January 15, 1999, I have made many friends, but there is no more important to me than the villagers of Recak”, he added.
