The Turkish military has begun fighting in northern Syria by bombing the positions of Kurdish YPG forces on the border with the Turkish state.
Turkish media report having eight F-16s that were established from their base in the city of Diyabakir to attack Kurdish formations in northern Syria.
The US has expressed itself against this attack, as well as the Syrian government, while Turks want to prevent formation of a Kurdish corridor bordering Turkey.
Meanwhile, the Turkish military has cleared the name of the operation, which is called the “Degue of Oliver”.
The introduction of infantry is also expected after aircraft bombings.
