Topalli speaks of meeting VV officials in Shengjani: It was an effort to overcome problems

Faton Topalli has resigned today from all positions within the Vetevendosje Movement, including his resignation from the position of member of the General Council.

In a letter of resignation, Topalli has voiced his opposition with many developments within Vetevendosje, but mainly with the lynching phenomenon.

MP Topalli says that to discuss this problem some party officials had gathered in Stryen to put an end to these things within Vetevendosje, but, according to him, the meeting had turned out to be fruitless. The meeting says it was held about a year and a half ago and lasted two days.

“More than a year and a half ago we met in Shengjin to discuss the policies of Vetevendosje for two days, and I was very hopeful that an internal dialogue would begin, but this meeting turned out to be almost entirely fruitless. What happened next was continuing the same practice”, writes Topalli.

Later, in December respectively, Topalli says he was already labeled belonging to Dardan Moliqaj's group, although he says he belonged to the Vetevendosje Movement rather than to any group.

I realized during the national elections that I had been labeled part of the Dardan Moliqaj group, even though I met Movement and no group. This became even more transparent during the local elections we lost in Ferizaj, among other things, because of this approach”, he wrote.

She says that the campaign against him arrived when he had defended Aida Dorg, following her offensive message to Albin Kurti, published in the media.

When, in December of last year, I stood up for Aida Drggut and against her public lynching, because someone inside us was interested in making the internal differences public by exploiting her mistake, I asked that internal issues be discussed within the Movement and distanced from those who used the language of insults and ethics. This caused the campaign against me to increase to the extent that I had not been able to imagine”, writes Topalli.

But there's more to Topalli inside the VV.

He says there are members of VV with different ideological beliefs, which Topalli finds a problem, saying they do not represent or represent.

I personally have social Democrat conviction. That's why I'm a member of the Vetevendosje Movement. Sadly, in the structure of Vetevendosje, we find everything from religious and political believers to extreme right and ultranationalists. They neither represent me nor represent me, and I have nothing in common with them. As a result of this mix, we have a disproportion between the political programme and ideological representation in the structure of the Vetevendosje Movement. The Vetevendosje movement must return to the layer it represents with political concept. The commitment to that land is also a matter of social democracy, but extreme nationalism does not solve the country's difficulties”, writes Topalli. /Periscopi/
