Centres offering shelter for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence are out of place at the moment.
It becomes known that these centres will be out of place for January and February due to lack of financial support.
KA LLXO.com has contacted the manager of the shelter in Gjilan, Nazife Jonuzi, who confirmed that the shelters are currently out of place in the absence of the budget.
“I am not in Kosovo at the moment, but at the moment workers are not working in the absence of means, financial support”, said the head of the asylum in Gjilan.
But Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica told KALLXO.com not to be aware of the exit of these centres, however he acknowledged there has been difficulties in adopting the budget for them.
I don't have information that they're closed, I don't know if there's anything like that. It's a fact that it's a delay in their budget, they haven't already seen the means because of the budget for 2018, but it's not that the centers aren't working. At least I don't have such information”, said Minister Recica.
