After 50 years of age, many people are forced to urinate more often because of the expanded prostate, which is called BPH.
If symptoms are easy, BPH should be fought with the intake of reduced fluids, experts recommend.
“About 1.5 liters of juice a day and nothing more than that. This is the recommended amount of fluid”, says the German Institute for Health Care Quality and Efficiency (IQWIG).
To avoid waking up at night to go to the bathroom, men are advised not to drink juice for an hour or two before going to bed.
This especially refers to taking liquids containing caffeine or alcohol, since they have diuretic properties. The BHP can damage urinary secretions, as rising pressure strengthens the urethra, the uriary tube carrying urine from urinary bladders into the penis.
If problems with the disease affect the quality of life or result in complications and development of urinary lesions, males should resort to medicine and treat adequate therapies.
