Oliver Ivanovic was born on April 1, 1953, in the village of Rznic near Decani. He finished primary and mechanical engineering school in Mitrovica. He was a pioneer of the Military Academy in Zagreb, but left after three years.
He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Mitrovica and graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Pristina, reports “Kurir”, Periscopi broadcasts.
He worked at the Mitrovica transport company “Transsovo”, at the mosaic ceramic plates factory and at the Hepok office in Mostar. From 1991 to 1998, he was head of the sports centre in northern Mitrovica.
He served as deputy director general of the company “Feronik” from Glogovac until 2004, when he became director of the National Employment Service for Kosovo.
When the Serb National Council was formed in 1999, Ivanovic became chairman of the Executive Committee for the north of Kosovo.
He was a member of the no longer existing Social Democratic Party. He was an instructor and an international karate judge. He was head of the karate club “Trepca”. He was married and father of three sons. /Periscopi/
